After more than 2 years, we have been informed that a European patent is to be granted. The important features of the arm pivot position and fixed angle give us advantages over other systems. The hinge point of the arm is further outboard, such that the arm passes forward of the front wheel hub. This means the arm can be closer to the rail reducing the loads and space required. Also the top clamp position allows us to take bikes with front mudguards and assures a good grip on the front wheel. Finally the angle of the rack related to the vehicle keeps things in a single plane giving us a really slim package for storage and integration.
